Description:  This walking park consists of 1/2 mile paved walking trail and another paved track for  bicycles.  The park also has a volleyball and       basketball court and a nice play area with swings.  It also has a covered picnic area that can be reserved for reunions and parties.

Kentucky Ridge State Forest

Description: This is Kentucky’s second largest state forest with over 11,000 acres.  It adjoins Pine Mountain State Resort Park.  Excellent for hunting and rugged back country hiking.

Pine Mountain State Park

Description:  Established in 1926, this was Kentucky’s first state park.  The park has a swimming pool, planned recreation for guests, hiking, mini-golf, nature center, playground, hiking, 8.5 miles of self-guided trails.  The Park includes the Chained Rock.  There is a huge chain anchored to a boulder that appears to hold a rock in place 1000 feet above the city of Pineville.  This is a great hiking trail with beautiful natural scenery and   overlook.
