Description: The Red Bird River consists of over 144,000 acres. There is no public access for motor boating, but it is great for canoeing and fishing.

Description: This 70-mile backpacking, mountain biking, hiking, motorcycle, and horse trail follows ridge-tops that have some rough portions. Motorized vehicles require an OHV fee and special pass to use this trail system. For information purchasing a pass contact the Redbird District Office at 606-598-2192. Only experienced hikers should use primitive wilderness trails.

Description: Located within the Daniel Boone National Forest, there are over 25,000 acres established for wildlife restoration and management. There are 25 miles of improved hiking trails and a picnic site and primitive camping in the Cawood Recreation Area.
